Hi folks
Well I have to say that a lot of very nice folk send supporting letters so
I am going to thank you all right here. Thank You!!!!

Now, I am not going to disappear completely, I will still be on this list
and I will be available to answer questions as I always have. My web page
will remain with all of the current information and updates on health
issues. We will still be running the North Island Ferret Club and Rescue
but we will no longer be the shelter, we are going to initiate a fostering
program for our rescues.

However, my husband and I have disscused this at great length, he would
never let me get 'hormonal' as so many people have suggested (kindly) and
make a rash descision. We are not going to be breeding ferrets at least
for the next year or two so we will still be placing the breeders. I am
composing a list and picture file of who is available for my web page and
I will e-mail the list to those of you who have expressed interest. Some
of my friends that also breed have offered to take some of our stock and
preserve my lines until such time as I decide to breed again, that is still
up for discussion, we have to be sure that the shelters and our own vet
bills are paid off before we can decide.

Now BIG, I know this is off topic so edit it out if you like. [Not at
all off topic -- FML subscriber and background stuff. BIG] About the
baby. There have been numerous inquiries as to why we are so concerned
that we would make such drastic changes. We aren't supposed to be able to
be pregnant, at least I'm not and because of Systemic Lupus and Hashimotos
disease I am a very high risk pregnancy. This happened once before two
years ago and I miscarried, the doc said it was a fluke and he very nearly
passed out when he found out I'd done it again. (I am an enigma!) SO we
are not taking any chances this time! As far as we know we are due
sometime in June I'll know after we do the ultrasound in December.

Thank You all
Mia
