Dear Andrea,

I felt so sad when I read your story. I have only one ferret, my first,
and I have been to 5 different vets and he hasn't even been sick yet.
Now he has some hair loss on his tail and I may have to go to yet another
vet, just in case he turns out to have adrenal, because my last vet is
very nice and a ferret lover but doesn't have much experience.

The truth is, there are just as many problems with human doctors but
with ferrets it's worse because they can't tell us what's wrong and
most vets don't know much about ferrets. That said, I've heard just
as many complaints from dog and cat owners.

If you want to vent, feel free to email me.

I hope your little furkid will pull through and get good medical
treatment.
