Hi all,

After almost 7 months of nausea, mucosy poops and wasting my 18
month old boy Bodie is currently on Prednisone 0.01ml twice daily
for suspected IBD.

He responded almost instantly as soon as we started on the pred approx 3
weeks ago, and while on this dosage is back to his old self.

My vet wants to reduce dosage to once daily for 2 weeks, then once every
2 days etc to reduce dosage to a minimum.

After dropping his dosage to once a day, he starts to go downhill around
the 3rd day - if I up the dose again to twice a day he picks up almost
instantly once again.

Could anyone tell me what sort of dosage is the average for IBD and how
long treatment usually continues for? I am concerned that the pred may
cause more problems in the long term for my beautiful boy.

Jodie
