Someone asked me *why* hunting with ferrets is illegal, and I haven't the
slightest idea beyond it being bad public relations and a good chance of
losing a ferret. Does anyone here know the history of said illegality
and/or other specifics? Is there a textbook, legal manual, or website that
might be useful? Seeking info only; my guys prefer the sofa, a raisin, and
a football game.  Go USC in the Rose Bowl.  (A Northwestern gal rooted here;
why can't I?)

On another note: HOORAY MA and 295, though it's a bittersweet victory for us
out west. We now have the honor of having the stupidest, stubbornest state
gov't in the USA. Swell. There *are* some good people working on CA
legalization but they've got a gigantic, immovable object to push. Grumble,
grumble. Congrats! anyway. Wave your buds and thumb noses at Fish & Game
for us on March 7th.
