I reread the section of the rules about advertising sompin'...and if this
isn't OK please let me know...but I just gotta tell everybody about this
ferret coop I discovered! And forget looking in a pet store or big
warehouse store...it won't be there...and I'll explain why later.

And NO I don't make them so this ain't about me...OK?

Now picture this...A modular set up...each module or section being suitable
for 1 to 2 ferrets (in style)

My 'Palace' (the maker calls it a condo tho) is three module's high (at
three or more you get a great caster wheeled base that is bolted to the
bottom module for effortless moving it around - and I do mean effortless,
the darn casters are better quallity than my office chair [an expensive
model too]...so I move it by its side handles with only hooking a finger
thru the handle.

each module has a litter box, scoop, bolt on bowls, and is fully carpeted...
ramps are carpeted on back, sides, and top for fuzzies that like shortcuts!
the two shelves are wide and roomy with a lip to keep carpet in place and
ramps are removeable for cleaning and to put in different places and
positions...

in my multilevel unit I have a small square hole between modules that has a
drop door fastened out of the way and the square of carpet is put away
against later need. If I need to isolate any module (like the top one, I
just drop and fasten closed the trap door and put the square of carpet over
it and presto I have a seperated module for a hospital, or kit having, or
post surgical, or quarantine, or anything place...and when I want it back
part of the unit I just open the trap door, fasten it back in place and
everything is all open again...

plenty of room for hammochs and tubes and blankies and each module has its
own door, roomy with a ferret proof door closure, thats plenty big enough to
remove any and all parts of the module to clean etc.

the carpet is available in any colors or combination you want and you can
get one module and expand later as needed! I am getting a fourth module to
add to mine as fuzzies are addictive and I am pretty hopeless in that
respect...also love rescue Sweeties and want them to have the very best I
can give them as they usually have had a hard time of it...and they seem to
get along with the others if they are introduced in a very fancy and
comfortable home like this one...

this fella uses all the best materials and makes each one to order, by hand,
in his garage. I stumbled on him at a Ferret Roundup and couldn't believe
my eyes...I had the best the stores had to offer (OK, but not as nice as it
could have been, especially at the prices charged) and here was a habitat
made just for ferrets, by a very ferret wise fella, and it was lots less
expensive than one that was 1/10 th as good that cost more... I was sure I
had heard him wrong when he quoted the prices... I ordered mine on the
spot...and he called to be sure the carpet colors were going to be suitable
and all and then I drove a long ways to pick it up...he ships but it was a
nice day and I wanted to meet his wife and see his place too. a very
enjoyable trip and worthwhile to see how he does it all.

I brought it home and my fuzzies went nuts...they were up and down and
around and helped me install hanmmochs and blankies and toys and eats and
(Oh yeah he also gives a 1/2 gallon lixit bottle too) water bottle and put
litter (supplied) in the litter pan...and they were so happy they played
till they dropped...and still do... they keep it all very clean too... now
they come out to tear around inside and out but when its time to eat or
rest they go (all on their own) right into the lower door and happily stay
inside ... There is just so much room in there for them to play and chase
and be happy!

anyhow...I found the greatest ferret coop ever and just had to tell you
about it... I have this fella's address and such if anybody wants it... you
can e-mail me at [log in to unmask] if you want the info to contact
him or ask any other questions of me..I won't print it here as that seems to
me to be too much like advertising and thats not right to do here...

also..anybody who is looking for Mazuri Ferret Diet...call them direct and
if there is no outlet local you might consider having 25 lb. bags shipped
to you direct... and maybe split the bags up among friends and share the
cost...its not real expensive and since they eat such small amounts and so
little ends up in the cat box it is very economical for me/us///

an idea...anyhow...

 happy fuzzies...dayna
