Last week, the mother of a classmate of one my children called and
asked if I would take care, for a couple days, of a baby ferret that
she was buying for her son's birthday. I have met this person only
once and only very briefly, but I agreed. What I failed to understand
was that she had not even purchased the ferret yet, so she went to the
pet store and drove it directly to my house, and since, has been vague
about picking it up because of personal issues irrelevent here. I am
doubt that she will be in the position to take care of this very funny
little boy, and within a couple of days, it would be nice to have
someone lined up that can appreciate this guy.

Other details: Marshall Farms via Petco, Male, Sable w/pink nose,
slightly over three months old per "birth certificate", but as
Petco throws all the babies together, I doubt that they know which
certificate goes with each baby. Pretty good at using newspaper,
VERY playful, VERY active, enjoys eating slippers and toes.

The most important thing to me is that I am assured that the
prospective owner is prepared and able to spend the $500 - $600
that eventually will be reguired in vet bills for adrenal
disease/insuliminia/etc (though it would be nice to be able to return
the money initially spent on the ferret, and perhaps the $250 that was
spent on the large cage if it is not returnable), and is willing to
give the time and love deserved.
