  My advice, for what it's worth.  Get 'em both.  :-)  One is never enough,
and according to all the experts (all two or three of 'em) three is the
optimum number.  This would also give you a good age spread so that when one
of them crosses the bridge, the pain won't be so great.  We started with
one, went to three (two at two weeks apart), then four, now have five.
Anyway... ;-)  Get both the ferrets from the shelter, they should know each
other, and will soon have your ferret acting like a whole different
character.
