I have only had my ferret for a little over a year, but I've done a lot
of research before and since I got Rocky.
 
There is a book on ferrets from 1898 at the Northern Ohio Ferret Assn.

and bread.  Ferrets then were used for hunting rabbits and rats.
 
An interesting and amusing read for ferret lovers.
