I once knew a ferret who ate a rubber washer from a bathroom faucet - the
x-rays didn't find it, only an operation did.  Ferrets are like two year old
children - they will put anything in their mouth, then run down the hall,
bump into something and swallow it.
 
ANYTIME eating, drinking or pooping stops for 24 hours, GET TO THE VET!
 
X-rays DON'T reveal everything (or correctly either), so when in doubt, an
exploratory might turn up nothing, but a ferret only "suffering" 48 hours has
a better chance of recovery than one languishing for days.  IMHO.
 
Pam and her Pet Pals (and Red Dog was more active today than I've seen him in
months!)
