i haven't watched the news in a week due to scooter butt but i do know
that michigan ferret laws are behind in times.  most human societies in
this country don't reconise the ferret as being domestic.  some are coming
around though.  they do know about dogs and cats but are beloved fuzzy
butts are a differant story.  it was just 4 years ago or so that michigan
killed ferrets just for a little nip or scratch without caring if the
ferret had there shots or not.  the human societies here in michigan
still send rescued ferrets to shelter and rescue homes.  if the timing
was better i would have tried to take the ferrets in myself.
