Steve will be taking care of Stinka for a couple days while I am gone and he
will be needing this info so he can get her started on the correct dosage of
Lasix. It's o.k. he can be trusted he is my boyfriend and Stinka is
technically his, but after this long she has really become ours.

The vet ordered us liquid Lasix, but we turned it down because it contains
alcohol.

The pill she gave us is 12.5 mg. The directions are to cut it in half and
give her half a day. That would be a little over 6 mg a day. She only has
a little bit of fluid. The vet could not hear it she saw it on the x-ray.

Isn't this too much Lasix for such a small ferret? Stinka only weighs 1.7
pounds.

Should we use the pill or the liquid? We have not started her on it yet as
it just came in today.

We asked about supplementing her with vitamins and potassium since the Lasix
will pull it out of her system and she said to just give her some bananas
and potatoes. Is there anything we should give her to replace the vitamins
and potassium she will lose due to the Lasix?

Thank you so much for your time and help!!
Melinda
