I feel that I must respond to the few emails we have received from
NON-Shelter persons, as it was me who asked Rick to place the original
FAD email on the mailing list, because I am the one who has to deal with
doing the majority of the rehabilitation, I don't have time to waste on
the computer, but here I am because I am extremely angry.
 
For those of you who think you need to take up time that was not offered
to you or yours to take, just to justify giving up your ferret, save your
breath because as unique or "special" you think your story is, we have
pretty much heard them all.  And for you to use up valuable time, and I am
saying valuable in the sense of time needed to SAVE the lives of ferrets,
just to stroke your own ego or to justify your own guilty conscience is
just typical of the kind of persons who should never own a pet what so
ever, never the less a social one like a ferret, because you obviously
think more of yourself and saving face with the public than you do for
that poor animal.
 
Those who have peace of mind in their decision to give up a furball and
know that it was the only and best thing they could do for their ferrets
best interests would never have replied to the original email knowing for
one, that it was not for them as they are NOT a shelter or rescue and two
that they didn't abandon their ferret, so they have no reason to feel that
they must justify themselves, (this would be those few extreme people;
medical, death, ect.)
 
We sent that email out to try to get a better idea on how wide spread a
SERIOUS, LIFE THREATENING problem was, and to get some HELP so we could
stop losing these little guys needlessly.  So unless you have held one of
these little Fuzzies in your arms trying to show them that they are loved
as they struggle to take their last breath, keep your useless opinions
where they belong, because we are trying to save a few lives here.  It
should be obvious that you are just wasting our time and any minute that
I can spend learning how to save even one ferrets life, I refuse to waste
on people like you, so go cry your case to someone who gives a damn because
I stopped caring about people like you and all the excuses when I had to
look into the empty, depressed eyes of a DYING ferret.
