Hi Sandra;

Well, I'd make VERY sure that there is no clorox smell before I let the
ferrets in the cage. Chlorine is a POISON! It is used to kill living
things (bugs) that have the same carbon based life functions that we and
ferrets have. It is used because it is a poison, so please be very careful.

Myself, I alternate between two pans, the used one sprayed with disinfectant
is left outside for hours, and a nice dry one from the day before put in the
cage with fresh litter.

Please be careful, and not cause harm as a by product of good intentions.

Take care,
