hi all,
I got a free minute, haha. just wanted to let you all know that my rotty
Buster's cruciate surgery went well, hes healing up fine. My Pom, MiniMe
who is on Pred and Cytoxan thinks he is on viagra and is, well, how should
I say it......trying to shag my cat with brain damage and a few of the
ferrets! I guess he's felling better.

Now to ferret stuff! Robin, the Tyson ferret is getting better, she must
weigh about 1 1/2 lbs, she eats like a horse. She also hates other
ferrets, and men. We are going to do another CBC/Chem profile in a few
weeks to recheck everything before she goes on the adoption list.

On a sad note we lost two ferrets this month, Noel, a sweet little silver
mitt, the necropsy looks like liver dz, sending in tissues. And Critterman
our sweet little guy that had the hole on the roof of his mouth, they are
both missed by myself and their friend Fritter. We got a call from the
local animal shelter here a few days ago, they asked if I would rescue a
ferret from their before she got euthanized. Well, duh, of course! Well,
the little girl, Tenderfoot we call her. She has adrenal and her belly is
very swollen, also it looks like the pads of her feet by the toes had been
burnt, she walks very oddly. Hence the name! She was just found wandering
around Las Vegas, thankfully the weather is great here right now. No one
claimed her so she was deemed unadoptable so her fate was euthanasia. but
now she is at the vets and we will do what we can for her and she will
probably be here for a while, there is still a little room left on the bed
at night! BTW, I will be attending the Western States Vet Conference here
in Feb, anyone else going to be here? Come on by and visit us. Or if your
attending the Pet Expo, come on by for a ferret fix! Well gotta run, Romeo
is climing up my pant leg letting me know my minute is up! Take care, CJ

P.S. The local paper, the Review Journal is running an article this Sunday
on the shelter, in the living section. Go get a paper or see it on their
website!
