Through the years I have had someone who periodically pretends to be me
show up and write to people.
 
Today -- while it was well known that I would be offline due to the
outpatient surgery -- a mail appeared which SAID it was from me.
 
I do NOT know if someone simply somehow put my name into the "from" slot
instead of just the "to" slot but it also was unsigned.  So, if someone
didn't do that this would be my blasted imposter.
 
The mail made unpleasant implications about something that does NOT
involve me and which I do NOT know any details about.
 
I will be Bccing someone mentioned in the note since I do NOT know if
someone is trying to put across the feeling that I am bad mouthing
someone who I am not.  I think she deserves to know about this.
 
It ended with

This stinks.
This stinks.
 
So, who is [log in to unmask], and WHY is [log in to unmask] putting
that his or her mail comes from me?
 
My ONLY e-mail addresses are

If you have encountered that mail in any lists PLEASE carry this note
there and PLEASE help me get to the bottom of this.
