regarding ferret cages
 
i built a cage out of pine and 1/4" dowels. the dowels are 1" center to center
 and the cage looks like a high class jail cell. the cage is 30x30x18. the door
 is the entire front that folds down. the bar section rests on top of a wooden
 pan that i covered with outdoor carpeting. the very bottom is a plexihglass
 bottom that slides out for cleaning. luckily my fuzzies are litter trained so i
 basically just have to vacuum out cat litter that they spill.
