Dr Ball was asking about vit C for ferrets. It has been recommended
for use in ferrets with lymphoma anecdotally. To quote from the book
(Essentials of Ferrets)

" Vitamin C (25-50 mg/kg BID PO) is used in the buffered, ester, or
chelated form as it causes less GI upset.147 Start at 100 mg q 12
hrs and gradually work up to the highest dose (over several weeks)
that does not cause soft stools. Mixing powder from capsules with
food works well. Liquid vitamin C is usually available at health
stores, and many pets take it readily. "
