A friend and former student at the U.W. who is now a professor at Michigan
State U in Michigan whom I hadn't heard from in years, just sent me an
email.  She told me that she read my letter in the Lansing newspaper about
Kodo the ferret.  I was feeling quite elated to think that they had
published my letter - when the latest news about our dear Kodo came in.  I'm
sick at heart.
 
But, Bob Church is 100% correct about needing a national organization.  When
I think about all we have done to help Kodo - we have given our time and
money - and certainly all of our thoughts this last forty days.  If we can
get that energy channeled and work together - we should be able to
accomplish amazing feats.
 
Thanks to KAthy Fritz - our very own shelter/rescue in the Madison area - a
group of us are gathering to try to get the laws changed in Wisconsin -
another kill and test state.
 
Obvously my boycott of Michigan cars, cereal, fruit, vacation money is not
going to upset their economy - but I swear to God - they will never see
another penny from me.  I am heartsick
