Guess what???  It's once again time for Heart of Ohio Ferret Association
and Rescue's (HOFA) monthly meeting.
 
That's right!!!  A lot of exciting events have been taking place this
past month, so come to the meeting this Sunday the 17th from 2pm-5pm and
find out what all happened.
 
We have a rare opportunity taking place at this months meeting.  WE ARE
HAVING A GUEST SPEAKER!!!  Yeah!!  Last year we had the infamous Bob
Church, this year HOFA is honored to welcome Valerie Staton, PH.D.
Valerie is currently a professor at Ohio Dominican University who
specializes in animal behavior.  Here is a brief biography about
Valerie taken off of ODU's faculty website:

Biography:
Valerie Staton, Assistant Professor of Psychology, specializes in the
study of social animal behavior.  Her early training was in primate
behavior with Douglas Candland at Bucknell University and with Dorothy
Fragaszy and Irwin Bernstein at the University of Georgia.  Her most
recent research focuses on the social behavior of pets.  She has led
student research on the behavior of dogs in rescue shelters and her own
research focuses on ferret behavior.  She is a member of the American
Veterinary Society for Animal Behavior and the Animal Behavior Society.
As a graduate student at the University of Georgia, Professor Staton
earned the Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award in 2000 and was a TA
Mentor for the 2000-2001 school year.

does...Come join us on Sunday and ask Valerie!!  This is a one time only
deal and you would be missing out if you weren't there to partake in this
special event!
 
The meeting will take place at Sue and Shaun Brennan's house located in
Grove City, Ohio from 2pm until approx 5pm.  Please bring snacks and pop
for all to enjoy.  As always, your ferrets are welcome to attend!  For
