Based on size and that he is a neutered male - our male, Meep, was about
that size at 3 months old, and he is on the small size for a neutered male,
so maybe yours is a little younger - maybe 10 or 11 weeks?
 
The ferret book I have recommends that they are OK for crunchy food about
12-13 weeks so that would be about right for Wuzzitt.
