I have one of those clear tunnels for my guys, and they like it a lot.  One
of the favorite games in our house is 'toob', which takes several forms.
Since you said you've used the opaque dryer hose, I'm sure you're familier
with these games.
 
As far as I can tell, the only benifit of the clear tube is... you ready
for this?  It's clear.  Those outside (me, the dogs, other ferrets, etc.)
can see those inside, and vice-versa.  This leads to some interesting
variations on toob games, as ferrets outside chase ferrets inside.  It also
lets me watch their little tails wag like crazy.
 
I don't know how much more the ferrets like clear tubing, but I know /I/
like it a lot!
