Californias Governor Pete Wilson has recently signed a bill that requires
state agencies to open internet sites and web pages to accept direct input
from citizens who have a gripe. By July 1 1998, or no later than 6 months
after an agency establishes a web page, the agency must publish email
addresses in their phone directories as well as direct citizens who are
computerless to the nearest public library with email service.

The good news is that there is a email address that is available immediately
and it goes straight to the governor. This is most timely as our current
AB363 to legalize domestic ferrets in California is stalled in committee by
suspension as a result of Cal Fish and Games ploy to torpedo the bill.
Should citizens wish to register complaints about Fish and Game or any other
agency, the governors email address that is now available is:
www.ca.gov/s/governor/governorindex

Remember to be polite and get the point across that AB363 is a good first
step to recognizing the approx. 500,000-1,000,000 pet domestic ferrets that
currently reside in California. For more info on the bill please contact
