Hi Laura, et.al.

The drooling is a key that it's a low blood sugar episode. I treat with 2cc
of clover honey on the gums & under the tonge (careful not to allow it to
enter the throat until they start swallowing again).. Then I follow with
some Deliver 2.0 (from local pharmacy, non-rx, good to keep on hand).. Then
I mix some Deliver with Timmy's recipe & feed all they'll eat. (I know
people that use Deliver with Science diet A/D.. Eukanuba now has a canned
special diet also.)..

What was happening with my Miss Bunny ferret was that she just wasn't eating
often enough while in a cage. Now that she has the run of the motor home,
she eats maby every hour & a half, & no more seizures.

You might also look at the food you feed, one with higher fat content would
keep blood sugar levels up longer.

Often it's cause is insulinoma, but even with that, my vet suggests that
treating with diet modificaitons is better than drugs.

Take care,
