I'm new to the FML & this is my first posting.  I'm from the Pottstown, PA
area and we've 2 babes.  We've had Edgar for 10 mo. & ferret math being
what it is added Claudia a month later.  We're totally amored & captivated
by these two.  a day hasn't gone by that I haven't been thankful for them.
For us they are like rays of sunshine, calm in a storm of a hectic life.
Being extremely intelligent & cooperative I'd like to introduce you to
them.
 
The Mommy: Well, Edgar, tell us a little bit about yourself.
Edgar:     Well, I'm a sable and my full name is Edgar Valentine 'cause I
           was born on Valentines' Day.  My mom did a lot of research &
           decided 'ferrets' were the one's for her.  She's allergic to
           cats.  We're on the 3rd.  flr & a dog would be out of the
           question.  So I was #3...3 times the charm.  And charming I am!
           Mom read a lot about us, but she said it was nothing like the
           real thing.  I blasted mom & dad away with my pizzaz, style and
           dookingness.  They were amazed!  They've never had or even met
           another ferret.  I single-handedly won them over.  Then they had
           to go and do something stupid!
The Mommy: Now, Edgar!
Edgar:     No!..."Now Edgar!"...They went & got me a sister!  I was an only
           child.  My own toys, own affection...all mine!
The Mommy: Now Eddie!
Edgar:     OK, OK...maybe Claudia is OK...yeah, maybe she is.  Twice as
           many toys, someone to dook with...maybe she it OK.
The Mommy: Well, that's very nice of you  Edgar to say, but Claudia tell us
           about yourself.
Claudia:   Well, my name is Claudia.  Mommy & Daddy call me Princess
           Claudia, or baby.  I came to be with Mom & Dad when I was 5
           weeks old.  Mom thinks that was a little too young, but she's
           taken such good care of me.  I'm a silver mitt and weigh 1 lb.
           Mommy says it's lucky I'm spayed, whatever that means, because
           I'm sooo beautiful all the boy ferrets in the world would be
           knocking at my door.  Mom & Dad let us out almost all the time.
           We can run through the living room, bedroom & kitchen.  She's
           ferret proofed the kitchen so we can't get in the cabinets or
           under anything.  We're not allowed in the bathroom or computer
           room unless under adult supervision, whatever that means.  We've
           never been sick or had fleas or anything.
Edgar:     Once I had a tummy ache & daddy stayed up all night with me &
           and called the vet, but I got better the next day.
Claudia:   Well the most important thing about me is I'm an independent
           ferret!  I'm always busy, putting sox away, toys away & storing
           food for when the Big One hits.
The Mommy: Well, thank you Claudia that's very.....
Edgar:     Mommy!
The Mommy: What Edgar?
Edgar:     Mommy....Claudia has issues.
The Mommy: What?
Edgar:     Claudia has issues.  She has.....
Claudia:   I do not!
Edgar:     Do to!  Daddy says so!
Claudia:   Do not!
The Mommy: Guys...we'll discuss this later!
Edgar:     Do to!
Claudia:   Do not, do not!
 
Anyway that's just a brief introduction to our babies.  In the future I'm
sure Edgar will be revealing details of Claudias' issues & Claudia will be
filling you in on her independent life.
