Mike,

Last year or so, my Ruby had a very red sore bottom. The vet gave
me this cream, actually ointment, called VETASAN OINTMENT. It is
prescription (antiseptic) from a vet. an it says consult a vet before
use. It worked very well on Ruby. Obviously it was safe for ferrets.
I used it almost every day. Maybe this would work for your baby.
