I really wouldn't take a ferret through the Detroit (or any other
Michigan) border stations.  Chances of getting found out are very slim
indeed, but the consequences are just too severe.  If there's another
option, please use it.  My wife and I decided against taking our
fuzz-heads to Michigan over Christmas, and had a bit of car trouble.  That
could have gotten nasty.
