A real life badger?  And he (she?) lives with the ferrets or separately?
The only contacts I have had with badgers is observing that they can be
awfully nasty if things don't go their way.  Yours is tame?  Is he part
of the 5 fert package?  If BIG will allow, I would like to hear more about
the badger.
