This is Susie Lee of The Ferret & Dove Sanctuary who conducted the
Interview with the Ferret for what her Secret Santa person might get
for her...(said person already having been praised as exceptionally
wonderful, which, of course, all such persons who have become Santas
for ferrets are certainly wonderful, outstanding and quite fine!)
Plain and unwanted (yet personality-plus) Ginger-Simone Blacksable
Ferret is SO-o-o happy, she doesn,'t know where to begin! She said
(first) that she wants me to let her chew up the other wimpy-pretty
ferrets; I said no, we're talking about not-living things to give you,
you little bully! (so I suggested)What about a bottle of Ferretone
and a tube of Ferretvite to snazz up your soup in the morning?She sez
"Yeah" to that!,"... and then," she adds, "how about a catnip and
cinnamon-twigs filled pair of thick cotton Kids-socks that I can
keep all for myself that the other ferrets won't re-steal?"
I say "That sounds interesting Ginger-Simone, but as to the other
ferrets, we can't make any guarantees...after all you steal *their*
stuff, they steal yours, back, it's all part of the day's games; like
when you and your boys play 'chase-me'. What else would you like
Ginge'?" (She sits up "high", tilting her head to one side...is that so
she can use the best side of her brain?, and says)"I wish for a long,
fold-over hammie that you'll never have to change away as soon as i
get it smelling interesting." (sigh) I say "No guarantees, Ginge',
you know we treat everyone the same here, that way, and that all the
hammies have to be washed now and then; but you might get your wish
at least for a time, and then what i *Can* do is re-change your own
special-hammie back to you as soon as it's ready." (Ginger-Simone
gets back down, bounces several happy bounces, then jumps on huge old
Lawrence Beau-Love Ferret because she can) "Okay!, I'll take it! I'll
take you, too! I'll be the ferret and You be the 'rabbit'! Heee-YAH!"
Ginger-Simone, still riding like a little jockey-ferret on big, (nearly
horse-sized ?)Lawrence, and followed by Murphy Sweeting Ferret "off
into the...Living Room", breaks off the interview at this point for
the important business of serious playtime...
