$3538.00! Yes...you read that right. $3538.00 is the total amount
donated in the year 2003 through the FML Card Exchanges. That is a
totally awesome figure and whether you donated in just one exchange or
all of them, you deserve a huge THANK YOU! All of us at Support Our
Shelters stand in awe of not only your generosity, but your willingness
to step up and help a ferret in need. I am taking sign-ups for the
Valentines Day Exchange. If you'd like to join us, this is fun one!

We also raised over $600.00 doing Ebay auctions. This was a very
rewarding project as all of the items auctioned were donated to Support
Our Shelters. Some very special people donated some wonderful items,
and many of the items were 'non-ferret related-meaning we were able to
draw a little money in from outside the ferret community.
To all of the people who donated items and all of the people who bid,
THANK YOU! We could not have done this without you! We will be running
more auctions in the near future, so if you have an item you'd like to
donate, please contact me.
Another project that is very close to my heart is the SOS Memorial Page.
There are over 80 stars on this page and each star represents a cherished
ferret that has passed on. Yet, for as sad as this high number is, it is
heartwarming to know each star also represents a donation made in that
ferret's name to Support Our Shelters-donations totaling over $700.00
since it's creation in April. Many of the names weren't added by the
ferrets Moms and Dads, but by special friends who wanted to ease the pain
of the loss and help Support Our Shelters. If you haven't visited this

There are still 2004 Ferrets of the FML Calendars available.....but they
won't be available for much longer! Last day to order will be Feb 15th!

I want to just a second to thank a few special people for their help on

calendar would not have been possible without your photos! If you were
one of the judges....THANK YOU Yours was a difficult task!
To Linda Iroff and the Oberlin College Computer Store for donating the
Grand Prize of a digital camera....THANK YOU! To Sharon Bearden who

And last...FINALLY!! We are toying with the idea of a fun ferret
book consisting of pictures, past FML Posts that made us laugh and
never-before-seen funny stories. If you have a favorite FML post from
the past or would like to write a short piece on something funny your
ferret/ferrets did, or you have a really cute picture of a ferret doing
something silly....please let me or Sharon know. We cannot promise that
your submission will be used, but we will try to use as many as possible.

pretty big undertaking, so at this point all I can say is we will be
