I've looked around on the resource pages available and been unable to find
a definite answer to this question (maybe I didn't look far enough): How
long is the ece virus active on clothing, shoes, household environment,
etc? Does it have a limited lifespan or is it rugged enough to live for
days on surfaces, etc?

If I enter an ece infected home or shelter, how easily can it be carried
home to my ferrets? This is a new worry for me, as a close friend of mine
is battling ece for the first time, and I'mhesitant to visit, not wanting
to risk exposure to mine. They were ece-free until now, as are mine now.
Any thing you have to offer will be appreciated.

James
