Micro chips are provided by Destron Fearing. Here is their website
http://www.destronfearing.com/

Expeceted lifetime of their chip is about 25 to 30 years or more. These
chips were used in a FERAL (WILD) ferret study in NZ with good results,
and no reliability problems. For all you Americans, they are an American
based Company so you can get them relatively cheaply. Worth looking at
their Website if you have Questions the vet is not sure on. According to
the NZ study no chips failed after implanting and it does not damage the
ferrets.

Microchipping is a very good idea if you want proof of who your ferret is,
or belongs to if it escapes.

No I am not connected with Destron Fearing.
