Wow - you are sure opening yourself up for alot of flames by what you
said in this forum.  You do not have to read the posts - and therefore,
if you are offended, it is by YOUR CHOICE as you chose to read them.  I
think you just went a little bit overboard on the folks out here - and
personally, I believe if you "don't like it" - then "leave it".
 
Sure, there are alot of sad stories here, and alot of "crying" goes
on - but the "whole essence" of this group is SUPPORT, be it mental,
spiritual, or just simple medical advice.  How these people on this board
feel about their pets, is their business, not yours.  Personally I would
be afraid if I was either your child or pet - how would you deal with my
death?  I don't think anyone here "replaces" their children with their
"pets" (though damn sure straight there are times, when I wish I could!
*grins*).  I believe that a larger portion of this group may be older
and their children have moved on (just a speculation kids, hold the
tomatos!!) - and their pets are just as important to them, as their
children - not the way that you state.
 
I have never really written negatively on this board, as I don't believe
in it.  But - your comments are demeaning and cruel to this forum,
especially for those who count on this forum daily.  To me, it is like
a big "group therapy".  You have the choice to join or not - but if you
join, don't sling hash around sweetie.  It will only burn you in the long
run.  Now run along and be nice - and PLEASE don't write me back with
flames!  I couldn't take the negativity!  I am too happy a person and may
just blow up......*dooks kids*
