Someone who commented on one of my Youtube videos told me they recently
adopted four ferrets - all around four years old. They said one "might"
have Adrenal. Well look at this vid:

http://www.youtube.com/user/moomoobindi#p/u/5/K9155UGqdgo

This is clearly a ferret with pretty advanced Adrenal, wouldn't you
say? She claims to have contacted a local ferret shelter who said
that Melatonin implants are what most vets do these days but she can't
afford the vet and is about to file bankruptcy. I asked her why she
took in these ferrets if she can't afford their vet bills. She says
"They'll die anyway in a couple years so why does it matter." if they
don't get treatment from a vet. She also said that she can just give
the ferret Melatonin orally that she buys at the store - it's the same
thing. I find that hard to believe since don't the implants deliver a
steady dose similar to other implanted medications in humans? And if
this was true, why are so many people with Adrenal ferrets getting
implants instead of just going to Walgreens?

Please advise and feel free to comment on this video to encourage this
person to either get these ferrets the treatment they need or find
someone else who can afford to.

Thanks!
