Hello Ferret Lovers,

Just a brief note from the California State Capitol to tell you all what a
terrific job you've done with this Committee. Based on what we've seen so
far, we're going to do very well tomorrow and all of you should smile and be
proud of your hard work.

Literally every office we visited told us of the overwhelming public support
for the issue. Staffers said that not only have they received visits in the
district, but in the Capitol as well.

Assemblyman Jan Goldsmith patted a stack of over 13,000 signatures collected
by Ferrets Anonymous and other volunteers in support of ferret legalization.
Congratulations to Pat Wright and every single volunteer that filled in one
or more signature sheets.

Other great news is that both California Waterfowl and the Farm Bureau have
dropped their opposition to House Resolution 37. But please don't stop now!
Jan wants to move this resolution to the Assembly on Thursday, May 16.

You've educated thirteen members of this House already, now we need to move
on to the other sixty-four. Please celebrate our victory in this Committee
by spending Wednesday and Thursday morning calling on the rest of the
Assembly members.

Thanks so much for all of your hard work. This will be a great message to
the Fish & Game Commission.

Jeanne Carley
