Your vet told you to cut all the tablets in half AT THE SAME TIME? I don't
get it. If you just pop out one today and give half to your ferret, can't
you give him the other half tomorrow? It seems unlikely that the drug could
be so unstable that it would go bad in one day.
 
And if the drug is not uniformly distributed in the tablet, maybe you could
grind the pill to a powder between two spoons, and mix it in a known amount
of ferretone, and then give half of the ferretone to your fuzzy. (If you
did it this way, though, maybe it would be a good idea to throw the
leftovers away.)
 
Just an idea.
