Dear Melanie - and all who want to help:

May I make a suggestions about getting around sending money to Melanie
OR Credit Care? Why not make out a check payable to Credit Care and
send it to Melanie. She can give them to her Dad to write the acct.
number on the check and also to mail the payment. That way there is no
info shared and they know exactly how much was paid off. Credit Care
does not care WHO the check came from and this way Melanie and her dad
do not have to deal with any cash. Since Dad expects Melanie to give
him the money anyway, this will come from her to be sent in.

Melanie, tell your dad that my mother lets my sister use her credit
card all the time and then my sister sends in the payment. It is
applied to the account NUMBER specified. And, when I had my wreck in
May, my mother paid the vet bill - nobody would let me do anything! -
with her credit card. I later wrote my check to pay the bill and she
had me write it to the credit card company. Yes, they took it.

Finally, having had a ferret have the same surgery in 1998, I can tell
you that is a fair price. I paid the same 10 years ago!
