Some people feed these to ferrets. Among the assortment of diseases
that ferrets can get from raw foods or the smaller grouping from foods
in general, salmonella is one of the ones for which ferrets have pretty
good resistance. That does not mean that some ferrets do not get it,
and it does not even mean that a bad bout of salmonella can not do
truly serious health damage to a ferret, though, just that the chances
are reduced.
