Well, it looks like the word is out! The raffle for ADV Research to be
held at the Ferret Buckeye Bash on August 25, 2001, is going International!
Here is an opportunity for ferret lovers everywhere to donate to ADV
research, AND get a chance at winning this beautiful afghan. It is truly
a work of art.
Yes, the Ferret Oracle saw it in the making, and here it is! Just to share
a few facts about the raffle:
This raffle is being held to benefit ADV Research. All donations received
will be forwarded to the University of Georgia, and restricted to
experiments NOT involving experimental infection of ferrets. If you don't
know what the Aleutian Disease Virus can to to your pet ferret, visit

This beautiful afghan is crafted from Red Heart "Soft White" yarn.
It measures approximately 5 ft. by 6 ft.
Kat Parsons has designed the pattern, and crocheted the message very
tastefully into the surface of this afghan. Kat's creation can be seen at:

The drawing will be held at the Ferret Buckeye Bash in Columbus, Ohio, on
August 25th, 2001, at 5:00 pm EDT. Tickets will be on sale at the show
until the time of the drawing. The single, winning ticket will be drawn
by the afghan's creator and donator, Kat Parsons.

Tickets are available as of this posting by mail. Raffle Tickets are, in
US funds, 1 ticket/$1, 6 tickets/$5, 15 tickets/$10.

RECEIVING YOUR TICKET NUMBERS:
When ordering your raffle tickets by mail, please specify how you want to
receive your ticket numbers. There are 3 ways you can get your numbers:
1) by email, include your email address and phone #
2) by regular mail, include SASE and phone #
3) Just call if you win! Send phone #
Only ONE winning ticket will be drawn, and the winner (if not present) will
be contacted by phone to verify the shipping address. The winning ticket
number will be posted on the FML, and any other forum the raffle has been
posted on. The winner's name will only be posted, with their permission.
The total of the funds sent to the University of Georgia will also be
posted.
WHERE TO SEND YOUR CHECKS OR MONEY ORDERS:
Again... DO NOT SEND CASH THROUGH THE MAIL!!
