Yesterday was Mother's Day.  The sky was turning grey and the clouds were
dark and gathering.  The Dook Nook Mom was desperately trying to hold the
impending rain off.  The rains came today as Jackie bid farewell to Babs a
long time and dearly loved resident.  The little boy, Slim could no longer
hold his own and all her attempts to rehydrate him failed and pain was
dominating his body.  She bade farewell to him to release him to a better
life.
 
Now for Jackie, there is a large empty spot in her heart, her life, and the
shelter.
 
Babs and Slim take care and enjoy your freedom.  You will be missed by all
of us.
