Hi, Carol.
I wonder if you could try Dr. Williams' suggested technique for getting
ferrets to eat chicken baby food (Gerber's 2nd or a comparable brand --
it's just chicken and water).  Place a little dab on her nose and wait
until she licks it off.  After you do this two or three times, she should
take to it quite nicely.
 
Then, after she gets to like the taste of chicken baby food and broadens
her palate, so to speak, try to give her some ferret food again.  Maybe
she'll like it better then.
