It was overwhelming!!!!  The first Ferret Fun Match in Grand Rapids was more
than I expected!  We had 19 entries for the Tube Race (which was won by
Magoo), 30 entries for the Cup Tip (which was won by Tigger), 19 entries in
the Paper Bag Escape (which was won by Mario) and 11 entries for Little
Beggars (which was won by Henry).  We had a Leash Run run-off of the 4
winners for the Grand Prize which was won by Mario.  It was so much fun!!!!
I cannot express how grateful I am to Petsmart, particularly Jim Steuer
(Store Director), for their cooperation and generosity.  The prizes included
a ferret tent, ferret fun ball, sleep sack, critter bed and the Grand Prize
of a 2-story cage.  Dr. Michael Phelps of the Coit Animal Clinic was so
helpful.  His interaction with the ferrets and their owners was so
beneficial to the program.  By the way, does anyone know where I can find a
ferret tie?  My partner in this, June Wolf, did a fantastic job running the
games.  There were people and fuzzies everywhere.  What a good feeling.
