Hey gang, here is my ferret proof tip and tips!!

I have had the most trouble with kitchens. You have to get down on your
floor with a flashlight and look up UNDER the edge where the cabinets
come out. That little space left so your foot fits under the counter
instead of stubbing your toes (the kickboard I think it is called). That
spot sometimes is left open. It goes to????? Sometimes it goes nowhere.
Sometimes it is full of electrical wires. Sometimes it connects to
someone in the next apartments stove. Use your hands and feel for a
hole. Use a mirror and LOOK for a hole. I had ferts here at this house
for 10 years before some "new" smart alec found a space in the kick board
area.

Another area is where the dishwasher is installed. Sometimes there is
just enough space left that a fert can hang itself. I had that happen to
me, not once but twice. The first time the ferret was really near death
before I found her. The refrigerator is another challenge. I tape my
vent at the ends to keep them from pulling it off and entering the bottom
where the motor is. You need to block them from the back of the
refrigerator also.

I suggest a handy tool box. Make sure you have the proper type and size
of screw driver for EVERY screw in your house. I keep a little 12 inch
saw and a hack saw just incase. Take it from me when you are having an
emergency your mind doesn't think straight on where your *** damn tools
are!!! Don't ever lend out your tools from this ferret toolbox, either.
Because you know the "moment" you lend that out, your ferret will find
itself in an area that you need to evacuate it from!!!!

Good Luck, Take Care All,
Mary Jo
