we had it too, josephus (hence the machine name josephus.furph.com) got it
after a routine adrenal surgery.  his entire body bruised and he had to do
prednisonne shots in his muscles almost every hour for about three weeks
(24hours a day).  We also did subcanteanous fluids into his skin for his
dehydration and baby food for, well, food.  the steroids made him gain
weight and he turned into a huge pair.
 
He ended up sufficating because he didn't realise how big he had gotten.
the whole experience was hell and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
