A Word of caution on the above. Not all Crochet eggs are equal. You
need to know what is inside the eggs.

My ferrets love their eggs and crochet egg toys. Hercules had one egg
in particular that he loved. Carried it everywhere. He put it in the
litterbox. So I washed it. Went through the dryer. (I have washed
crochet eggs before).

Everything was OK, it survived. Next thing I know Herc is clawing at it
and chewing holes in the yarn. (Wow he really likes that egg, now that
it is clean again). I was cleaning out the kids cage and the egg fell
on the floor, Pandora, made a dash for it, it was her's now! When I
bent over to pick the egg up the egg split in half, What I saw was
disgusting. Inside was macaroni, (not pony beads or bells). Even though
I put the egg through the dryer, the Macaroni (was all stuck together)
did not dry. The plastic egg under the crochet cover separated, the
macaroni was moldy and had maggotts in it. GROSS.

Please make sure, what is inside your eggs, when you buy them, I never
gave a second thought to what was inside the egg. I do now. If they get
dirty I will just throw them away and get new. Favorite or not.
