It really is a crime. Had Jen Morrison done this to dogs, she would have
been lynched long before she even made it to the courthouse. But since
they were ferrets....a $500 fine, a years probation, and a glowing
article in the paper. It really is a crime.

I don't know if they will read, this, but...Jeff, defending your mother
is all well and good, but insulting other intelligent people is not the
way you go about it. Try to learn a little diplomacy from your wife
Robin. Both of you are quick to cite the word FACTS, but you both need
to face the FACTS. You are talking to the people who have these ferrets
now. They are NOT relying on rumors. Some of these people were even
THERE.

I'll even risk the flames of the rest of the FML by saying that Jen MAY
have had the best of intentions, but taking in more animals than you can
reasonably care for is NOT an act of kindness, it is an act of cruelty.
You would think that anyone reasonably intelligent, much less someone
holding four doctorates, would realize this.

Personally, especially after reading her letter to the FML, I don't
believe Jen had the best intentions. Let's all try to make sure she
never attempts to "profit" from animals again, ferrets or otherwise.
