I never meant to post this often, but I feel a need to explain why I wrote
my post about bringing ferrets to school....I failed to say that what got
me going was Krys's post in reference to taking her ferret, Tuxedo, to
school, and her encouragment of a teacher's adopting a fert for the
classroom; she presented it as a good idea, and I was totally against it.
I wrote my post to her indirectly through the FML on purpose, in case there
was anyone out there who might get a chance to prevent such a possibility
from happening.  (Krys, this is not against you, because you meant well,
but I think this would be a big mistake for the reasons I presented in my
previous post.)
 
Yes, I wanted your input on a one day visit (I am still scared of Fang
picking up something from a sick child)...but the rest about a classroom
pet: as a teacher, I would NEVER do such a thing!  I hope you all feel
the same....
