Hi fuz friends,
 
I need ideas about blocking the stairs effectively because the floor
moulding is in the way, making the wall next to the stair like this:

|     <--that creates an extra space between the gate and wall here.

  |
  |    <- baby gate hits here on the bottom, leaving space above moulding
          top edge.
 
the fuzzies can get through the space.  I know some of you out there have
'fert'le (sorry - that was baaad) imaginations and have solved this problem
already.  Please help- TIA,
