Hi Vicki,

I have a deaf girl that came in to me in a group of three. It has been a
learning experience for both of us. She was a bad biter when I took her
in. At this point I believe it was due to lack of communication. Over
the past four months I have taught her sign language for kisses, good girl
and treats and she has responded very favorably. The biting has just
about stopped and she is sooooooooooo lovable. Another thing I learned
is that she becomes afraid if left alone. I let her sleep one day while
I took the other kids out. When I returned a couple hours later I found
her shaking and frightened. She must really depend on the other ferrets
around her. Hope this helps.

Kim
