Hi to all and prayers to everyone who has sick fuzzies. I thought for sure
our Missitoo had adrenal when she started losing the hair on her tail. I
mean it was right down to rat tail and clear to her butt. Also, the little
girl that was found a few weeks ago had rat tail and again I figured
someone had turned out becasue they thought she had adrenal.

Well, low and behold Missitoo has all her hair back on the tail and just
after three weeks the little nameless girl has plenty of hair growing on
her tail.

My question is I wonder how many adrenal surgeries are done that really
aren't needed. I have seen a lot of people writing in about surgery being
done just to check out the adrenals.

I have used achne soap for washing everyother day and then used oxey pads
every third day as they tend to dry out the skin. But, that seemed to do
the trick.

I wonder if for some reason that both of these rat tails were casued from
stress. I can't figure out why Missitoo would be stessed but the little
girl being out side for no telling how long, had plenty of reason. And I
know this is long but just had to ask, how well do you know your ferrets?
Do you know what they want and what they are trying to get you to do?

They other morning we had to go out so time out had to be shortened up
somewhat. The four little girls were out and after treats went into the
other end of the house to play. Quickly I closed the door and let out the
Wild Bunch, which is made up of four large boys. After they got their
treats they were playing. All but Freddie who after scratching at the door
and looking over at my husband sitting at his desk, scratched again. My
husband not paying attention then felt a tapping on his foot. Looking down
Freddie looked up at him and then looked at the door, walked over to it and
looked back waiting for my husband to come and open it for him. We laughed
and again found how smart ferrets can be and how they own us and get their
way with us. If we just take the time to spend with our fuzzies, we can
lea rn to read them and know what they want and need.
