What we do here is to crush the pill,if we can't get it in a liquid
form.I'd never put a pill of any size in a ferrets throat.They have tiny
throats & can choke easily.I've seen this happen at my vets offices.Not
a pretty sight when someone brings in a ferret from this exact thing
happening.
 
I crush in between 2 spoons,then *drop* the crushed pill into the
cylinder of a 3 cc syringe,add either Tone or chicken gravy & administer.
 
Those here that need meds,I give it this way & hold them in my arms like
an infant,they take it willingly.
 
We are still in need of volunteers.While I know that some of you on this
list live within a 50 mile radius,if you don't have anything else to do
on a weekend,come on by,I'll let you help us.You don't need to like me to
help the ferts.
